These
are reliable, easy to operate and the only ones we use in our store for
our
cigar display cases which are not in our Main Humidor Rooms. Wonderful
product. This is a top of the line humidifying system!
Cigar Oasis was designed from recommendations made by cigar aficionados
to solve the cigar humidification problems everyone has experienced
using passive sponge type devices. It is a self-contained unit made up
of two pieces, the upper control section and the lower replaceable
distilled water cartridge. The two units slip and lock on each other and
once you plug it in the unit is ready to operate. The Cigar Oasis filters and circulates the air inside the humidor
eliminating the "musty" odor commonly associated with well sealed
humidors. The unit recovers rapidly to the controlled humidity after
opening and closing the humidor. In addition to all the other benefits
mentioned above the air circulation feature makes the unit a unique
humidifier. One other advantage is that you can use it to season your
new wooden humidor typically within 8 hours. Cigar Oasisis the

With the overwhelming success
of Cigar Oasis as the best humidifier available, our customers
demanded a unit for larger humidifiers such as display cases,
armoires, end tables etc. Our answer was Cigar Oasis II using the
exact same technology, with a larger refillable distilled water
reservoir. It is a self contained unit with the electronics in the
upper section and the distilled water reservoir in the lower section
ready to operate once you fill with water and plug it into a socket.
A unique sensor
in the Cigar Oasis measures accurately the humidity in the humidor and the signal is
used to operate a control fan which returns the humidified air back
to the humidor. A second fan is included with every unit which is on
all the time to assure that air is always moving in the controlled
space. If it is a large
cabinet a socket is available for an auxiliary fan with extended
wires to be located at a suitable location in the cabinet to move
the air and avoid gradients. The unit filters and circulates the air
inside the humidor and recovers rapidly to the controlled humidity
after accessing the humidor. Cigar Oasis II is the reliable way to
make humidification easy and guarantee that your cigars are always
fresh. The Cigar Oasis II
is shipped with a foam which is treated with an antifungal agent and
the user must fill the water reservoir containing the foam with
distilled water only. The foam is a large block and will last for
2-3 years and replacement blocks are available.
The water consumption depends most significantly on the volume of
the humidor, again the seal and frequency of opening. In store
displays the need to refill the water reservoir varies from every
few days to several months. Whereas, in home end table or large
cabinet humidors refilling will vary from weeks to months. When the
red light on the Cigar Oasis II stays on most of the time it reminds
you that it is time to add distilled water.

Seasoning Your
Humidor info update from Cigar
Oasis
New humidors
or humidors which have been allowed to dry out,
require "seasoning" to prevent the dry wooden
interior from removing moisture from your cigars
when first used. Cigar Oasis will automatically
"season" your humidor. Simply allow the unit to
operate unattended in the empty humidor with the lid
closed for 3 to 24 hours, depending on humidity
level and size of humidor. It is not advisable to
season with a wet cloth or sponge because of the
time involved and because excessive water can warp
the humidor.
Freshening Your
Humidor
Most passive
humidification devices use volatile chemicals which,
in time, can permeate and contaminate your humidor
and your cigars. Cigar Oasisuses only 100%
distilled water, with no volatile chemicals. The use
of Cigar Oasis over time should assist in removing
any contaminants from your humidor. This
"freshening" process may be speeded up by emptying
the humidor and leaving the lid open for several
days without operating Cigar
Oasis. If
contaminated cigars are put back into the humidor,
they will tend to re-contaminate
the humidor, so smoke those first by storing them in
Humidi-Pak type of plastic bag
Once your humidor is purged of these
contaminants, you should notice a subtle improvement
in the flavor of your cigars.

humidification system that accurately measures the
humidity in your humidor and adds the right amount
of humidity all the time to always keep your cigars
fresh.
