Using only the most desirable part of the tobacco leaf, where the
greatest flavor and choicest part is, Nub cigars pack a wallop of outrageous taste, incredible smoke, and live up to the saying
"Smoke it to the Nub".
Nub cigars achieve this by using this part of the leaf,
carefully tended
and grown in Nicaragua, then rolled in perfectly aged
Cameroon, Connecticut, Habano or Maduro wrappers.

These fully packed, well rolled Nub cigars, burn cool thanks
to their stout shape.
You get a tremendous amount of smoke time, superb and complex flavor, plus
a true
satisfaction from these. It may surprise you to find out, even though Nub
cigars appear smaller due to their length, you're actually getting all the
tobacco
and fine smoking time you'd get smoking a Churchill size.
Sam Leccia came up with this original idea for
the Nub cigars while realizing the "Sweet Spot"
with many of the cigars he smoked. He enjoyed them to the end (the "Nub"). This
tantalizing
smoking experience seemed to exist in the middle of the cigar to the end. He
worked with Jose,
of the Oliva Cigar Family and, the idea became a reality. Nub cigars were
created.
The flavor range
is from mild bodied up to full bodied depending on the wrapper.
Nub Maduro

The filler and binder are of well aged

terrific new Nub cigars!
What started as some innocent garage
experiment to see why the 2nd half of a cigar was typically better than the
first half, Sam Leccia stumbled upon a theory. A theory that results in a cigar
starting the way it is supposed to start, at the best part. This was a cigar
that required no time to “develop”. It started at the heart of the cigar.
This cigar is made by using only the sweet
spot of the tobacco leaf, making the cigar’s size within a 4 inch window. Sam
also found that the initial prototypes burned a little hot, and smoked too
quickly. Instead of compromising his theory, Sam gave the cigar more tobacco.
Not to lengthen it, but to continue using only the sweet spot, and widen it. By
giving the cigar a ring gauge of 54 or more, he achieved his goal. Not being a
big fan of large ring gauges himself, it was the only way to achieve his goal: A
cigar that starts at the best part, has intense flavor, draws cool, and burns
slow. He soon realized, that in the realm of nub, even a 66 is not a too large
of a ring gauge.

Time it takes to Smoke a Nub
At first glance it may appear that a
"nub" is a short smoke. Nothing could be further from the truth. They routinely
last over an hour. With one exception, all Nub cigars have at least as much
tobacco as a Robusto. Most have as much as a Churchill or even a
Presidente!
Nub cigars are not about having a quick
smoke. They are entirely about having a new and innovative smoking experience.
These fine cigars are designed to engage your palate from the moment you light
them. The large ring gauge delivers a dense and robust smoke. The Nub cigar
burns patiently along as a solid ash develops insulating the burn and keeping
itself lit. Many aspects of our lives have been condensed or abridged for the
sake of time. Fortunately, a fine cigar will not comply.
